TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOARDING

Updated 1 April 2015

BY LEAVING YOUR PETS IN OUR CARE IT IS DEEMED YOU ACCEPT THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF NEWSTEAD LODGE

Newstead Lodge Boarding Kennels and Cattery will not be held responsible for any loss, injury or event regarding your pet as a result of any information not supplied on arrival.

Health & Wellbeing

All dogs must have current vaccinations for the duration of their board. This includes Canine/Kennel cough for dogs. If unsure of requirements please contact us. You must bring your dog’s vaccination booklet or official records direct from the vet as proof of vaccination. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any pet we believe is not fully vaccinated.

If your pet has an existing medical condition it is crucial that we are made aware of this in advance. Any medication that is required should be supplied with clear instructions on it’s administration. Ensure that there is sufficient medication for the length of your pet’s board.

Please ensure your pet is de-fleaed and wormed before visiting us. If we find an infested pet we will treat it and charge any costs to your account with us. Let us know on arrival if your pet has any allergic reactions to flea treatment.

If your small dog or puppy is overly nervous or unsettled we reserve the right to accommodate your dog with a suitable companion.

Our kennel environment runs a communal environment in the exercise runs. You accept the positive benefits and potential risks involved when dropping off your pet.

While every care and attention is given to all pets in our charge we do not accept responsibility for any loss, accident or illness that may occur during your pets stay.  When your pet boards with us we take every precaution to ensure their health, safety & wellbeing. Should your pet become unwell we will take immediate action, either by talking with your own vet or by contacting our vet for advice on the action to be taken. You will be asked to pay the cost of any veterinary fees.

In the event of your pet presenting with a contagious illness or becoming too unwell to continue with their board, we will request that either you or your emergency contact will come to collect your pet.

Please ensure that we have up to date contact information and an emergency contact on record, especially if you are travelling overseas.

We will take your pets bedding and one toy if it is their first visit with us and will not obstruct the kennel space.
